用途：生化研究。是辅酶Q类的重要成员之一，它是一类醌化合物。是组成线粒体呼吸链的成分之一，传导电子，质子的氢递体，因而具有激活细胞呼吸，加速腺三磷(ATP)产生的作用。本身为细胞自身产生的天然抗氧剂，能抑制线粒体的过氧，保护生物膜结构完整性。
