A)为构成内毒素活性的糖脂，以共价键联结到杂多糖链，有两部分：一是核心多糖，在有关的株内是恒定的；另一O特异性链(O-specific
chain)是高度可变的。大肠杆菌的脂多糖在实验室免疫学中是常用的B细胞促分裂因子即多克隆活化因子(polyclonal
activator)
