介绍：溶于水呈绿光黑色，稍溶于乙醇，呈绿光蓝黑色，溶于溶纤素，不溶于其他有机溶剂。遇浓硫酸呈深红光蓝色，稀释后呈紫酱色至红光黑色沉淀；在浓硝酸中呈黄棕色溶液；在浓盐酸中呈暗红光黑色溶液。其水溶液加浓盐酸呈紫酱色沉淀。加浓氢氧化钠液，则生成灰色沉淀。对纤维素纤维染色，染料吸尽性很好，温度在80℃亲合力最大。可以拔染。
