介绍： 分轻质和重质两种。轻质体积蓬松，无嗅无味无毒。难溶于纯水及有机溶剂，在水中溶解度因二氧化碳的存在而增大。能溶于酸、铵盐溶液。遇空气中的二氧化碳生成碳酸镁复盐。重质体积紧密，与水易化合，露置空气中易吸收水分和二氧化碳。与氯化镁溶液混合易胶凝硬化。

用途： 1、氧化镁晶体用于各种薄膜形成用衬底，PDP用保护膜材料，光学材料，高温材料，窗口材料 2、高纯氧化镁粉末用于PDP保护膜材料，PDP荧光粉浆料，高纯陶瓷材料，玻璃材料，涂层材料，电子绝缘材料，各种添加剂。
