介绍：六方晶系结构，晶格常数α=0.5155nm。含氧59.5%～60.8%(at)。可溶于40%（质量）氟氢酸中，可为浓硝酸侵蚀，但不受浓盐酸，浓硫酸侵蚀，也不为浓碱侵蚀，和30%（质量）过氧化氢溶液作用，生成微黄色溶液。空气中加热于250～300℃转变为五氧化三钛。真空中1600℃加热钛粉和二氧化钛混合物或1500℃氢还原二氧化钛制备。亚钛离子本身是一种极好的还原剂。

熔点： 1900°C

用途：用于研究医学植入物表面的外来异物接受度（bioacceptability）
